Company Profile
was established in 1985 by Tony and Mary
Horrocks, in Bredon's Norton near Tewksbury. The original name of the company
was Norton Plastics Machinery, but it was soon abbreviated to Norplas.
Whilst working as a consultant, Tony "discovered" the EREMA Reclaim Process at the "K" show, DÜsseldorf. He realised it's potential and started recommending it to colleagues in the plastics industry. Soon after, EREMA asked him to be their agent for the UK and Ireland. Tony accepted and together with his wife, Mary, founded Norplas. We have been their agents ever since.
In 1987 Tony and Mary moved the business to Suffolk in order to be closer to their first Grandchild, Emma.
As the business grew, two of their sons; Adrian (in 1990) and Michael (in 1992), joined Norplas along with Jill and Marion, their respective wives. Tony and Mary retired in 2001; and in 2003 Mike accepted a post with EREMA North America. He now lives in the USA as EREMA's Vice President for Sales in North America.
Over the years, Norplas has sold more than 250 EREMA processes, screen changers and pelletisers in the UK and Ireland market. We have added other agencies to our portfolio; that either compliment the EREMA or that we think offer our customers an advantage.
We have built up an extensive knowledge of the plastics recycling industry. We like to share this knowledge and experience with our customers when advising on new projects or replacing older equipment.
