EREMA have been Supplying Self cleaning melt filter systems for more than fifteen years in to numerous areas of the plastics industry. Not only are they ideal for repelletising lines but also compounding, film, sheet and fibre production, in fact, most forms of extrusion.
Depending on the model / output required, the RTF screen changer either has 2, 4 or 8 filter cartridges, 2 per piston. Advantages compared to conventional filters include

LASER FILTER
Model LF 2/350
Called the laser filter because the filtration holes in the forged steel filter plates are drilled using EREMA's own laser drill. It is ideal for separating soft contaminants such as paper, wood, aluminium, copper etc.
The continuous self cleaning process means that there is no need to change filters for up to as much as 1000 hours. It is also possible to clean and reuse the filter plates. The laser filter can handle up to 1,200 kgs/hr or can be "doubled up" for 2,400 kgs/hr
